Last Night in Paris

Friday was our last full day in Paris. Mom spent the morning shopping, while I took a walking tour of Hemingway's Paris. In the afternoon, we took the RER out to Versailles. When we returned, we stumbled on a very fashionable cafe called La Pallette in the Latin Quarter, had a drink, and moved a few blocks further for dinner. We then took a cruise up and down the Seine River, leaving from the tip of the Ile de la Cite just off Pont Neuf.

Just outside our table a Jazz Band was playing while a Parisian Lady danced with joy for hours. Click on this for a quick video snippet.

The cafe across the street specialized in fresh seafood.

Sunset on Pont Neuf.

My turn. You'll notice the Eiffel Tower is doing it's hourly twinkling light show.

Night view from Pont Neuf. Our boat is below.

Park on the tip of Pont Neuf.

Silhouettes on the boat.

That's mom in front of Le Tour Eiffel.

An interesting mural on the way to Notre Dame.

Ads in the Metro on the way home...people in France apparently want to speak "Wall Street" English...I'm not sure I want to speak that. And Steely Dan is apparently banner-worthy in Paris.
