Drive back to Edinburgh through the Highlands

We took the scenic, long, windy route back through some of the most remote parts of the Scottish Highlands back to Edinburgh. It was fun, but I had enough single-track road action for a while. Its harrowing to always be thinking a fast-moving car is going to slam into you around every corner or over every summit. But we saw some awesome scenery on the way...and checked off another item on my mom's to do list - a bagpiper.

One of the many lochs and mountains we passed.

This viaduct was apparently used in the Harry Potter movies during some train scenes.

A monument in the wilderness.

A rainbow over the Rannoch Moor.

Mom and her bagpiper.

Video of the piper.
